  1. It could be that the EGR or DPF are blocked and this may have contributed to the intercooler hose failing. I would run some cleaner through the fuel and also take for a run to increase the revs over a time and clear it through Sounds like it needs a good 'Italian Tuneup' to sort it out
  2. Sounds like Crankshaft Sensor is failing, symptoms include starting when cooled down and cutting out when hot
  3. You might be able to get some sort of remap on it but doubt it will give huge amounts of power for the cost involved
  4. Sounds like it needs a good blast up the motorway to clear any carbon build up in the engine
  5. I would pressure (or vacuum) bleed the entire system and also check there is nothing in the ABS modulator block assembly Check also the pads are free to move in the carrier as this is a common symptom of pads being stuck in place
  6. out of alignment from the catch on the tailgate I imagine, remove the top and refit to see if that improves it
  7. Sometimes the buttons break away from the internal circuit board
  8. Hi Adrian, not sure how this has progressed but I would check the coolant loss first, e.g. is it burning it, mixing with the oil or falling out the bottom of the engine? Check also the coolant pressure cap is up to scratch as if not the coolant will boil and disappear into water vapour (lowers the boiling point of the cooling system)
  9. Silicon hoses may be a suitable replacement Try somewhere like DemonTweeks as they stock hoses
  10. Hi, welcome to the Club I would imagine they are 4 stud wheels and pretty much any alloy wheels from that era would suit the car. Try to keep the same rolling diameter even if the wheels are larger but with lower profile tyres
  11. The fog lights are designed to work on low beam only
  12. Usually an SD card which is replaced https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/nissan-30-c.asp
  13. It is hard to say from the soundtrack but you could check (on a cold engine) the heatshields on the exhaust manifold area to see that they are secure Found a strange one on a Toyota and it was at first thought a heat shield or similar but turned out to be the grille badge was loose and vibrating, removed it, siliconed it and refitted and now a lot quieter
  14. I think there may be two very small speakers (tweeters) up near the interior door handles and the two larger ones further down the door (woofers)
  15. Hi....welcome to the Club Good luck with your search
  16. Hi...welcome to the Club Used to work on quite a few Almera's and they were great cars and nothing too complex to carry out with maintenance and repairs

Hi...welcome to the Club If it is in good condition then I would be tempted to keep it In the day they were a great uncomplicated car and very reliable. Some parts may be slightly hard to find but plenty of secondhand parts available
  18. You can get an updated memory card and don't think it is too expensive to buy from the dealer
  19. It may be that the vehicle is not completely registering the new battery voltage Maybe worth disconnecting the negative terminal and leaving off for a while to discharge the capacitive charge that is holding the memory and reconnect to reset the system. It would obviously be easier to recode the battery with a scan tool which most garages should have Also, check the earth leads on the underside of the engine and inner wings to ensure none of them are broken
  20. Error Code P1481 is set when the PCM (powertrain control module, also known as ECM or engine control module in other vehicle makes) detects the radiator fan is not spinning as fast as commanded. The PCM regulates the speed of the fan, varying the voltage and ground to it. When the PCM sets the fan to spin at a certain RPM, and the fan spins lower than what the PCM commands, the code will be set.
  21. Not exactly sure but it could be a breather pipe from the transmission? Either way, unless another section is missing then it should have something in the vicinity to connect by way of being in the reach of it Let us know what you find out
  22. I'm of the mind as you to change the fluid to the correct one and flush through as much as possible to see if that gets you anywhere. If it was okay when it went into the garage and the only thing to affect it is the oil then this is where I would start. (happens sometimes on motorbike gearboxes where the incorrect oil goes in affects the clutch plates) May cost you a bit in the correct fluid with flushing it through, etc but would be worth it if you get the car cheap enough
  23. Maybe look at the engine mountings as if they are under load it could be pulling the engine over slightly too much which could affect the gear selection (only a thought) Otherwise may be worth changing the gearbox oil to see if that makes a difference
  24. As long as the servicing has been carried out by the dealer when it should have been and they offer a lengthy warranty then not much to go wrong really But as its low mileage and 7 years old now you have to consider it may have been smoked around town and this sort of low speed driving can cause problems on diesel engines (blocked DPF, EGR, etc)
  25. Welcome to the Club! Long may you enjoy your Note
