  1. It sounds like it could have been misfuelled but would definitely take to another garage to diagnose it further. Even with a misfuel it could clear and run well if the fuel filter is changed and topped up with correct fuel. Also, you mention it needs a bump start then maybe the battery needs replacing which could also lead to the symptoms you describe. I would definitely get the car taken back to your house or another garage
  2. Hi....welcome to the Club Fantastic condition and can't be that many left on the roads now. I have used is AutoDoc for hydraulic boot struts https://www.autodoc.co.uk/spares Good to have you onboard!
  3. I would check all of the earth leads coming from the battery negative terminal and those leading from the engine and gearbox to the chassis on the underside of the car and in the engine bay....not uncommon to break and lead to this type of fault
  4. If you are referring to the open pipe coming from the side of the engine then this is more than likely the air conditioning discharge pipe which takes the moisture from inside the car (when on recirculate) and dumps the water into the floor. Check the fluid being emitted from it is actually water and not diesel....if it is diesel then it would need to be booked in for immediate repairs without being driven as this creates a hazard for all road users.
  5. Hi Sparky....welcome to the Club What an absolutely superb 350Z Always a pleasure to see such a fine car! Good to have you onboard
  6. In my opinion I would acquire a new plug as you are dealing with high current and particularly when wired to your house if any issue were to occur in the mains supply then the repercussions could be huge.
  7. I believe they will do but worth checking one on the car for clearances, etc
  8. Its worth mentioning to see if they will replace it alternatively it may just be a poor connection going to it
  9. It may be a coincidence with the service being carried out around the same time. However, it does sound like a battery issue, worth having that checked first
  10. It could be an issue with excess lash in the bearing and allowing the ABS sensor to take a false reading from the reluctor ring (revolution counts). Possibly loose hub nut adjustment? Why did the hub bearings get replaced in the first place?
  11. Is it a CD Player, MP3, Phone App link?
  12. Have you checked your chassis is not broken Read this article about the issue https://www.parkers.co.uk/vans-pickups/advice/2017/nissan-navara-snapped-chassis/
  13. You could convert them buy finding a 12 volt feed from the source to the HID ballast and discard the ballast along with the HID lamps. You would then need to align them manually to the vehicle as the HID would have adjusted automatically
  14. There should be someone making an aftermarket part, you can get most parts through eBay
  15. It would be the case unless the unit was previously unlocked to fit any vehicle. It stops any stolen stereos being used in another car so the dealer would need to programme it to your car, shouldn't take too long and little costs really
  16. Hi .... welcome to the Club Great looking interior Good to have you onboard!
  17. Hi Paul.....welcome to the Club Hope you're enjoying your Qashqai ?
  18. Let us know how you get on with finding some
  19. Hi ...... welcome to the Club I would refer to the handbook (if you have one) to ensure that the specs are correct. If you order service parts through somewhere like Eurocarparts then entering the reg no will give vehicle specs and also the correct parts applications. Try to ensure you get quality branded parts to make sure it remains reliable in the future. Otherwise, a very easy car to service and maintain, cheap for parts as well 🙂
  20. You will need to take it on a long run (say around 20 miles or so) at a moderate speed but at high revs (not 5th or 6th gear) so that the pressure builds up to break up the collection of soot in both the EGR and DPF. Try to keep the speed and revs constant so motorway is probably best and later in the evening. Keep any eye on the engine temperature but it will go slightly higher whilst trying to purge the EGR/DPF. Also, it may be accompanied by a burning smell but this is part of the process. After you finish the run, allow the engine to cool down for a period. I would aim to give the car a run at least once a week to ensure the engine does not clog up in the future
  21. do you have any photos of the tensioner assembly?
  22. fuel filter blocked? a good place to start
  23. 4x4 direct is a good place to source running boards
  24. Incredibly low mileage....great find!
  25. How did you get on with diagnosis the fault?
