  1. I cannot see any bulbs listed specifically for the glovebox but not to say there isn't one there....may need to use a mirror to look up into the depths of the dashboard to see if there is a light unit there
  2. Hi....welcome to the Forum I'm not sure there is an auxiliary input for the system but you could use something similar to this gadget which will give you connectivity. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Elobeth-Wireless-Bluetooth-Car-Receiver-Stereo-Audio-Adapter-3-5mm-Aux-Input-Jac/122789432388?epid=1476325337&hash=item1c96d20c44:g:0jEAAOSwk-1Z-5m1
  3. Hi.....welcome to the Forum Sounds like it could be a slightly loose belt but also if it is worn then it won't grip too well when under load. Worth tightening or replacing to determine that it is the cause of the chirping. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  4. It would be worth checking to see if there is an oil cooler that is cooled by water (similar to Volkswagen) in which case this could be perforated and allowing oil into the coolant. Or it could be residue from before the gasket was replaced and is still sitting in the cooling system
  5. I suppose it's not too bad of an outcome as I'm sure it will probably acquire a few more battle wounds along the way and as given its age then it may be the best solution to leave it like it is and just replace the bonnet to make it look better.
  6. Hi Mike....welcome to the Forum Not jealous at all.....okay so maybe I am extremely jealous...just love the GTR. Feel free to post up some more piccies if you like Cheers, Trevor
  7. Hi Ray....welcome to the Forum You may be lucky and get a retro-install by the dealers, depends on whether the wiring it there for it already. Let us know what you find out Cheers, Trevor
  8. There wouldn't be any way to physically remove the alarm system (unless it is an after market system) but you could see if there is a fuse for the alarm (which I doubt there is) otherwise, you could physically remove the alarm siren to at least keep it quiet but the indicators would still flash and therefore flatten the battery. Have you tried just locking it on the door lock rather than using the remote handset?
  9. Battery seems fine with those readings. I would say that it does seem that it is just too sensitive but not sure if you can adjust this.
  10. I would start by looking at the battery condition, connections and earth connections to the chassis. After that, I would look at other obvious areas, such as ignition immobilisation and fuel inertia switch.
  11. That's a great price and sounds like the service is second to none....it's nice to hear of a good outcome from taking a car to a garage for repair, mostly hear too many negative ones. Glad to hear its all sorted and back on the road with least inconvenience. Feel free to share the Garage name and details on here for others to benefit from their good service (if they're local to the area). Thanks for sharing your news with us.
  12. Hi Clayton....welcome to the Forum The Almera Sport is a great car, haven't seen one around for a while...obviously getting a bit rare nowadays. Main dealer would be the best bet to get a code...should be able to provide it free or at little cost. If too expensive to obtain one, then maybe an aftermarket head unit would be the best way forward Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  13. Hi...welcome to the Forum Bank 1 (only one bank of cylinders on a Note), sensor 2 - should be the rear one (after the Catalytic Converter) that measures the efficiency of the Cat...should be the same as the front sensor but maybe with a slightly longer loom. Let us know what you find Cheers, Trevor
  14. Hi Simon....welcome to the Forum Thanks for sharing the pics and write up on Dennis...very inspirational. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  15. lol....sounds like an Apple oddity
  16. Sorry, not sure if it is a sealed unit but I sometimes say is that 'if it went together it should come apart' which is okay in theory but how much damage will occur getting it apart. Let us know what you find
  17. Hi....welcome to the Forum Seems strange that it works on one phone and not the other....which leads me to think you may be right about it being a phone issue rather than the car itself. Let us know how you get on with Nissan Cheers, Trevor
  18. Hi....welcome to the Forum Classic car now and only got to be going up in rarity and value I would imagine. Here's a useful link to find out how many, or few are left https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ Cheers, Trevor
  19. Hi...welcome to the Forum First thoughts are level sensors but if not, then maybe an issue with a front parking sensor which could be sensing the bollard....just a thought. Not sure if you can switch them off to try it? Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  20. Any interior sensors would not set off the alarm if a bus goes by (even though they have a hell of a lot of vibration come from them) as it only controls the interior (volumetric sensing) but if you had an air freshener hanging off the mirror then it would. I would still get the battery checked to be on the safe side though
  21. I know what you mean....tried several different ways with X-Trails in the past....usually find that it is one of the methods but if you miss any part of the sequence or it is slightly outside of the timeframe then this is the reason. May also be an idea to take it to the dealer to programme up to the car...they probably do it all the time and it would only take them a couple of minutes to do so wouldn't cost a lot.
  22. I would look at the wiring first...switch ignition on, someone has their foot on the brake pedal and then wiggle the wiring where it goes from the roof area to the tailgate. Sometimes, the wiring breaks when it articulates when being opened and closed over time.
  23. Hi Shuja....welcome to the Club Hope you're enjoying your Note and good to have you onboard
  24. The best bet would be to get the battery tested if there is any doubt of it's strength and ability to hold charge...especially with the winter coming up. Halfords are as good as anywhere else to carry out a discharge and condition test. Radio code should be in the owner's handbook or on a separate card. If not, then contact the dealer for a replacement code. Let us know how you get on with the battery test
  25. Hi Markus....welcome to the Forum Had a look at your site...amazing! Look forward to seeing your X-Trail in 3D Cheers, Trevor
