Hi all, I've been having some throttle response problems (flat spot), juddering issues at certain revs and poorer fuel economy on my Micra K12 2003 1.2 petrol. I tried to find a guide online that would help me remove and clean the throttle body but I couldn't find anywhere that could show me the location of the throttle body or even how to remove it. So I decided to find the throttle body myself and undertake the removal and cleaning in the hope of creating a guide for other people who would like to know how to do it. I took some nice photos as I progressed which I could use in a guide. I have put together a little guide which you can find detailed below and also a copy on my website which should help anyone wanting to remove and clean the throttle body on their 1.2 petrol K12. The guide is detailed below in this topic. Alternatively you can also access the guide at: http://www.limecove.co.uk/nissanmicrak12/nissan-micra-k12-throttle-body-removal-clean.html Hopefully it'll be useful. Thanks, Chris

Hello All, Thank you for the Nissan forum; especially on a bitterly cold day and some pretty awful conditions out there. I have had Nissan's for most of my driving life (37 years). My current Nissan Micra S (Year of Registration 2001) I bought from new. It's gone on and on - very reliable. After a couple of days parked up due to bad weather, I took it out this morning for a short (2 mile round drive) to the supermarket. As I pulled away, for the first time ever I had a beeping noise. This continued until I arrived at my destination and turned the engine off. After a brief shopping jaunt I returned to the car and exactly the same thing happened on the way home. The beeping starts when I pull away and begin driving. I've looked around the forums and am finding everything from carbon monoxide poisoning alerts to low tyre pressures (and more). Is anyone able to define this more (on a car of this age - 82K on the clock - regularly serviced and MOT's at the same time each year). Thanks! REM

Hi everyone, I have a 1995 1.0L k11 Micra, which has been good as gold since I bought it last year. There's one niggle, however. It has a highly erratic temperature reading. Usually around 5 - 10 mins into a journey the needle on the temperature gauge suddenly (within 1 second) rises from the usual mid temp, to the very top red sections, and sometimes beyond. It can stay there several mins sometimes, other times a few seconds, and then immediately drops back down into the mid position again. It never drops below mid position. Sometimes, the temperature gauge doesn't play up at all, although this is quite rare. I find it strange, as it runs perfectly and shows no signs of physically overheating. Could it be a faulty temperature sensor? I welcome any suggestions! Thanks in advance!
