Algolfcrazy Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I own a 2001 Almera 1500 and it is suffering with a low rev misfire.I have fitted new plugs, cleaned all electrical connectors to injectors and air flow meter.I have cleaned the throttle body and air flow meter, the air filter is virtually new.Can anyone help please.
Nissan Owners Club Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Have you tried changing the leads too?
Algolfcrazy Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Not got leads.Have tried coil packs, crank sensor and cam sensor
Nissan Owners Club Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Have you tried plugging in a code reader to see if there are any error codes present on the ECU?
Algolfcrazy Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Yes it came up with a p0300 code, which was a random misfire. It did come up with a crank sensor, but that has been changed.I am wondering if I need to change the air flow meter because I have read that this can cause the same problem.Any advice is welcome.
Algolfcrazy Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Low rev misfire has been cured.I had the timing chain replaced and the car runs like a dream.Chain had stretched about a link and a half.
