Marmaduke1
My wife has a Nissan Pixo1.0 which has done 15000miles. When the clutch is engaged in first gear at higher than normal speed e.g. on a hill start there is quite a loud squealing noise presumably from the clutch. Any suggestions as to what the cause might be? Is it a worn clutch after such a short period as my wife is a careful driver!
Nissan Owners Club
Could be something like the clutch release bearing? Is the car still under warranty?

Marmaduke1
Unfortunately not under warranty by 6 months. I noticed the noise while it was still under warranty but foolishly did nothing about it as I seldom drive the car. Seems like it will be an expensive job? Nissan Owners Club
If it's the clutch release bearing then it's the same as replacing the clutch with the whole assembly coming out. It can be good practice to change the clutch at the same time or at least examining the wear. Shouldn't be worn out after that little mileage though. Have you tried getting a garage or mechanic to diagnose it for you yet?
