jakjakjak Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Why is my X Trail so difficult to start from cold? I have a 2007 Aventura with a 2.2 CDI engine that runs really well. Starting from cold however is a hit and miss affair. The glow plug light comes on and the engine starts and then dies. I usually have to catch it and hold it at about 1200rpm for about three minutes before I can contemplate pulling away without it cutting out on me. After the engine has warmed up, it will start normally and runs like a sewing machine. Anyone out there got any ideas?
Nissan Owners Club Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I believe this is quite a common problem on that vehicle. I have heard mentions of the 'glow plug control unit' so may be worth checking this out.
