MartinNissan Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 The rear anti-roll bar on my Sunny (called a radius bar in the Haynes manual) has sheared at the beginning of the thread. The car is a 1990 Sunny 1.4 five door hatchback. The local dealer can supply the part but with fitting kit of bushes, bolts, washers and links this comes to nearly £500.00. A local garage has offered to fit it for £60.00 which sounds reasonable. Can anyone suggest a cheaper way to repair this? Two mechanics have said it can not be welded. Is there a Nissan specialist in Essex, Hertfordshire of Suffolk that would be able to make a cheaper repair, perhaps with a second hand anti-roll bar and a fitting kit bought trade? The car is still a good runner so I don’t want to scrap it if I can avoid it.Thanks in advance.
Nissan Owners Club Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I guess your best bet is to keep a look out for a scrap/donor car?
