09 micra..boot won't open with key, how do I open manually?

Hi ,

After a very small bump, (no visual damage) my boot/hatch won't open using the key fob..

How can I open it manually to look for damage.. any ideas what it could be ..?

The rear seats should fold down and allow you to access the tailgate from inside.

From there you could remove the inner lining and access the latch mechanism
