RichardFromMarple Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 On Sunday 13/3/2017 I will be picking up my Micra, from West Way in Altrincham. It will be the first Nissan I've owned. I was shopping around for a car to replace my Toyota Yaris, & saw that West Way had an offer on nearly new cars, as they were trying to shift 66 plate cars ahead of the change to 17 plates. At first I went to the West Way showroom in Stockport but they tried to steer me towards a new Micra, which was out of my price range. I saw some Micras at the Altrincham dealers with good prices. I found when I got there some of the lower priced cars had been sold, but they were willing to knock some money off a higher priced one for me. This seemed the best offer available & I put a deposit down. Now I'm waiting for the finance & other paperwork to be processed. The car I chose was a 66 reg Micra Acenta in Pacific Blue.
Trevor Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Hi Richard....welcome to the Forum Congratulations on your new car...I think you'll be pleased with it, they're a good little car Cheers Trevor
RichardFromMarple Posted March 7, 2017 Author Posted March 7, 2017 Thanks I did quite a bit of research before choosing a Micra, so I knew I was in safe hands. If I had passengers on a regular basis I would have got a Note, you seem to get a lot of car for your money with them.
RichardFromMarple Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 I picked up my Micra today, & after the usual dealing with paperwork & such I gave it a good run. This ended up longer than I expected thanks to a navigation error, but I managed to get it home OK. On the whole I found it easy to drive, with the gearbox & clutch needing some getting used to, which I'm sure I'll master.
Trevor Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Glad you enjoyed it....I'm sure it won't take long to get used to it
