Rattling Noise

Hi. Can anyone help?   My Micra has developed a really horrible rattling noise inside, it sounds like someone is rattling a chain.  This happens while car is moving and is really loud.  I have checked all over the car and glove boxes etc and cant find anything which is causing it.  I t does not sound like it is coming from engine or anything like that.   Many thanks

Hi Jane....welcome to the Forum

I would advise taking the car to a reputable garage to have it checked over as it could be a number of things causing the rattle.

Would do it sooner than later as if it is only a rattle at the moment but could be a 'knock' later on if not attended to.

I'm not sure it wouldn't be worth getting it checked though...could lead to something bigger if left unchecked

I don't really think they can check something  that is not now there but thanks for replying
