Tuning box

Hi all has anyone had any experience with tuning boxes? Thinking of getting one from bluespark. I am finding my car more expensive to run than I thought it would be. So thought about the tuning box to help with the mpg. Cheers Andy

I am running a tuning box on my Honda CRV and it is superb...had it for over a year now and no problems at all.

Thanks Trevor. Can I ask if you remove it before it goes into the garage can they detect that something has been connected? Thanks bhai Andy

It isn't difficult to remove .... probably takes about 5 minutes.

You should inform the insurance company but generally they do not increase the policy costs if it is done for reasons of economy or driveability rather than 'performance' reasons

Cheers Trevor. I went on to get some insurance quotes.  Went with modified and then took it of. £200 of a difference with tha box. 😣

That's a bit harsh...can't believe they are so blinkered with this sort of modification.

Bear in mind there are many companies that offer this service to cars that tow caravans and need the remap to allow more flexibility on the engine / drivetrain when towing and this is widely accepted by insurance companies and caravan & camping clubs.
