Dawn Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Just brought the limited editions 1.3 Nissan qashqai had it 6 days and drove it 3 times to work then to find last night wouldn’t start Rac - 3hr wait then by a Miracle 30 mins later I dipped the clutch and pressed the start button and it started rang dealership and she said unless I Had pressed the start then the clutch In the end I was pressing everything Been out all day today and it’s been ok but I taking it to Nissan on Monday for them to recheck it any body had the same issues I only ever had manual normal car with keys so this is taking some getting use to and using the electric brake but I am getting better any top tips off anyone 😊
Trevor Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Hi Dawn. I also fell foul to the same issue recently, albeit I knew I had to dip the clutch pedal but I hadn't pressed it down far enough (only by a fraction) which was enough for it not to start. I then altered the seat setting a little closer and this resolved the issue. It does take a bit of getting used to and also the handbrake can be daunting until familiar with it.
Dawn Posted July 24, 2020 Author Posted July 24, 2020 At least I don’t feel so bad know I thought the car was playing up I any had it 6 days many thanks 😊
Trevor Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Good luck with it and if in doubt 'read the handbook' Essential bedtime reading 🙂
Tina Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Morning Dawn Push the clutch all the way down, put the key fob on the start button & then push the fob against the button, there is a sensor in the fob that recognise the car & will even start it if the battery in the fob is dead, I have looked at every possibility on line/ you tub because I have a Quashqui that has had 4 flat batteries in 8 months,!, hope this helps & you don't end up like me, Good luck Tina 😊
