Air Con making noise

Hi, my Nissan Micra makes a weird buzzing sound when the aircon is turned on in warm weather. When it's really hot, it escalates to squealing so I have to turn it off. 

Not all the time and only when really warm. 

Is this a garage job?

It depends if the noise is coming from the interior fan unit or under the bonnet?
