My juke has a bad wheel bearing, while driving it gets worse with speed but as soon as i turn left it goes silent and then when i straight up again it comes back.

Would i be correct in thinking because im loading the right side of my car as im turning left and unloading the weight from the left wheel then it is the left wheel bearing that is bad? in my mind the noise goes away because the weight had been reduced from that side??

im replacing the bearing soon so any comments welcome please.

You are correct, it would be the left hand (nearside) wheel bearing as this is unloading the weight when you steer left
