Francis McCallum
Hi, Deficient rear axle is one of a number of things causing my Nissan Micra 998 cc petrol automatic to fail its mot. (Last year one of its failure points was that the horn was too harsh!) Garage says that a Nissan replacement would cost over £1,000 and take 13 weeks to deliver. Does anyone know the best place to source the correct specification of rear axle for this model. I'd also like to get a replacement parcel shelf too. The car is an R prefix registration, so late 1997 or early 1998. Thanks Frank Edited October 1, 2023 by Francis McCallum incorrect registration
Trevor
Scrapyards are the best bet for a replacement axle due to the age of the car. There should be plenty around so wouldn't be difficult to find one
