impduivel Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Hello, we have an issue with the electric folding mirrors on our Nissan Micra k14 ? On starting the car random the folding mirrors do not come out or partial come out , random on both sides. Car is a 2018 model with just over 36000 miles. Most times they will come out fully, as said its very random.
Trevor Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 It could be a battery voltage issue when the full current is being used by starting the engine and possibly interrupting the mirror opening procedure?
Mr S Posted October 13 Posted October 13 This is a common issue. Mirrors are same as ones on Leaf. We had one mirror changed under warranty. Other one does it sometimes so I sprayed silicone into the housing which eventually seemed to help. Sheet over door first or drips will be messy. Dealers know about it, must be a manufacturing issue. Try pushing mirror out as you unlock or fold with button on door to coax it. No reason why nee one will not eventually go that way. Mine had about same mileage with the issue.
