Xtrail revs going up and down while driving

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experienced their xtrail revs going up and down while driving. Car only seems to behave in 7th gear.

Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak
listen for any hissing noises coming from the engine bay at idle
