stardrivemusic
Hi There, I have owned a 2006 Aventura DCI for the past 4 years auto wipers, auto headlights, satnav, electric seats, rear camera etc great car. Due to a massive pothole over here in the UK it has damaged the rear near side chassis that badly that it is not cost effective to get repaired. It would be Tank & subframe off and lifting the body to actually sort out the welding required. The rest of the car is perfect which makes it more annoying. So I have bought a mirror image of my Pathfinder same year slightly more miles, in good condition and no advisory's on the chassis, but it is only an SE, no sat nav, no camera, no electric seats or auto wipers/lights. I am keeping my Aventura as a donor so my question is how much of the extra's on the Aventura can I change over to the SE. The SE is a great car but I miss all the little extra's I've had over the past 4 years. I suppose I've been spoilt 🙂 I renovate classic motorbikes as part of my living and do some work on my own cars too including electrics so I'm quite capable of swapping stuff. A few questions to get me on the way - Are all the looms the same ie if I change the whole centre console to the factory sat nav, 6 CD player etc are the connectors behind the dash the same? Same question for if I change the rear view mirror with the larger auto wiper block and if the loom under the seats has the connectors for the electric seats and the heated seats. I must admit I haven't looked at the fuse box yet but I'm assuming they would be the same and it's a matter of adding relays into the relay box under the bonnet too which I have in the donor car? One last thing the Xenon headlights (I think that's what they are called)on the Aventura are they an easy change to the SE as the headlights are different too? I hope someone can help with some of these questions or if someone has written a bible about this sort of thing I'll buy it 🙂. By the way I live in the UK so this is a right hand drive model just in case there's any differences that way too. Many Thanks Phil from the UK
