Dciw Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Hello. I’m new to the forum. Can anyone help? my 2007 pathfinder (my pride and joy) has started requiring me to randomly unlock it from the passenger side and then silence the alarm with the fob. Normally it works fine from the fob or the door buttons but then it randomly stops working. Once unlocked it goes back to working again for a while. I’ve changed batteries etc but I am out of ideas. Thank you
Trevor Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I would check the door switch which signals the system that the door is opened or closed and can trigger the alarm if wrong signal given Open in each door including bonnet, load area and all others to see if the interior light comes on and goes out after a while
Dciw Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Tried all the doors, they all put light on with a delay. Boot and tailgate both put light on and straight off. Is this the issue?
Trevor Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago no that seems fine as long as the lights switch on and off I wonder if the drivers door lock is faulty as it should control the rest of the doors locking and unlocking The fob may be faulty but try a quality battery and also check any microswitches for the buttons that may have become detached from the circuit board
Dciw Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Thanks again. I’ve put in new batteries and tried the other fob for a while before. It is so random I am wondering if the door keyless buttons send a signal like the fob or they are hardwired. I’m thinking possibly the rf receiver is getting old and cranky like the rest of us….
